'MOVING FORWARD' EXCLUSIVE

"Moving Forward" is a blues track with a mid-tempo groove and a jazz influence. The guitar playing is inspired by BB King and is performed on a 1965 Gibson ES120T, adding to the vintage feel of the song. The track is in a standard tuning and has a smooth and relaxed feel that is perfect for anyone who loves the blues and jazz genres. The song uses 13th and diminshed chords to give it a classic sound. Ty learned these chords due to the influence of Christopher Woitach from whom he took jazz guitar lessons at WOU.
Overall, "Moving Forward" is a great example of the blues genre, with a modern twist and a nod to its roots.

Moving Forward" was written by Ty in March of 2022, during a time when he was spending a lot of time out by Lake Travis in Texas. According to Ty, the song was born out of a difficult period in his life, and he used it as a way to work through a number of emotional hurdles that he faced.
Ty's decision to use his 1965 Gibson 120-T on "Moving Forward" was a great move that really paid off. The guitar's rich, warm vintage tone added a new dimension to the song, and it's clear that Ty was able to make the most of its unique character.

The Lyrics
Don’t wanna go to work today
Woke up in that kinda way
Gotta go face the same thing again
Because deep dow i felt afraid
When i dreamed i’d never get away
And now i just cant wait to make it back home
I sit and count the days
And try not to go stir crazy
Fight these feelings of being alone
It hits hard somedays
Up & down like a wave
But its a feeling that i own
I’m trying to move forward but looking back real hard
At the dark past and the bright stars
Don’t wanna wake up feeling grey
But its turning out this way
Not how i wanted to begin
And these thoughts i cant shake
They make my heart break their tearing at me within
