'BACK TO YOU' EXCLUSIVE

Ty Portrait _3 4x5 - IMG_2075-Edit.jpg

Ty Curtis' "Back to You" is a showcase of acoustic guitar mastery, with Steve Kerin adding a touch of Louisiana piano and LLoyd Jones contributing smooth telecaster tones. The song's soulful melodies and lyrics, as well as the harmonica skills of guest Hank Shreve, create a memorable atmosphere. The blend of acoustic guitar, piano, and telecaster, along with Shreve's harmonica, produces a one-of-a-kind blues sound that is sure to captivate listeners

The recording process for this single was captured by a professional film crew, offering a unique behind-the-scenes look at the creation of the music.

As Curtis remembers it, the band just didn't want to stop playing "Back to You" - they were having too much fun. The song's infectious energy and joy are palpable, and it's easy to imagine the band losing themselves in the music, completely caught up in the moment.

The 1960s Danelectro guitar Lloyd used above has a mellow yet cutting tone that lent itself perfectly to the song's style, and Jones' skilled playing brought the vintage guitar to life.

The footage showcases Ty's creative approach to making music, as he works with the rest of the band and the recording team to bring the song to life.

The resulting track is a powerful and emotive blend of blues and roots music, featuring Ty's skilled guitar playing and the soulful melodies of Shreve's harmonica.

It's clear that Kerin is a seasoned performer, as his work on the keys is soaked in authenticity. He brings a raw, live energy to the track that's hard to find on a recording, making it feel like you're right there in the room with him

It's clear that "Back to You" was right up Kahl's alley - he delivers a performance that's both tasteful and powerful, perfectly complementing the rest of the band. Kahl's bass playing helps make it a true ensemble piece.
